Ethuil let out a loud sigh. Cresil was lucky that she hadn't tried to escape yet, though she didn't have the slightest idea why she hadn't. The demon insisted on kicking or burning every dead flower he passed, walking a couple of feet ahead of her but looking back to grin at her every so often.

"Where are we going?" Ethuil finally asked.

"Wherever we want!" Cresil shouted back to her.

Either the demon was pretending to be indecisive for the surprise or he really didn't know where they were going. Ethuil decided to go with the latter. Her eyes drifted to the cloudy sky, trying to recall the weather forecast for the day. Cresil swiftly turned a corner into an alleyway. A shortcut, perhaps? When Ethuil looked down the alley Cresil had stopped, standing in a defensive position facing something up ahead.

"Think you can take me on, huh?" he shouted. Cresil drew his finger and pointed it at his "challenger". Ethuil peered around him and saw that it was only a trash can. Not that she was worried or anything.

"Cresil, the probability of that trash can talking back to you is about, let's see, zero percent." Cresil put his hand over her mouth to shush her. "Can't you hear it?! It's giving me trash talk!"

Removing the demon's hand from her mouth, she said in the most unsympathetic tone possible, "Lame."

Cresil ended up laughing at the pun for the next ten minutes. Ethuil rolled her eyes as picked another dead flower and ate it. Cresil was the strangest person, er, demon she'd ever met, but it's not like strange things were unfamiliar to her. Diversity at Saeren was what she liked the most, right after its educational value, that is.

Ethuil tried to recall what it was that made her agree to do this. Oh, right, a foolish dare. She couldn't say that she disliked being here, though. It was different, and if anything Cresil was at least a little entertaining.

A cold hand grabbed her shoulder and she jerked to a stop. "We're here!" Cresil beamed.

The Arcan took in the extravagant air of the building she had not seen come into view. She soaked it all up; the pillars, the design, the architecture, everything. It was by studying this intelligent vibe of the people in the general vicinity that she came to a conclusion; this was an ancient Kamaramian library.

She quickly doused the awestruck expression on her face, noticing Cresil's grinning. His eyes stretched wide, suddenly turning his head to look at the grand building. "This place just makes me want to burn every single piece of paper in-" He stopped and let out an obnoxious cackle. Ethuil sighed and ignored the demon as well as people's looks, walking up the library's polished steps.

Ethuil tried to contain her amazement, but the interior size of the library left her mouth hanging wide open. Rows and rows of books that she couldn't even begin to imagine what they contained. So many different people and races and books and designs, all of it was almost overwhelming.

"Is there something you'd like to say? Your mouth is open," he whispered, being mockingly respectful of the other readers. Ethuil, ignoring him, continued to look around. He gave her a piercing glare that she was unaware of. Cresil wrapped his arms around her neck from behind.

Ethuil felt the blood rushing to her face. Not only was the time and place incorrect, but Ethuil did not like physical affection, and found it particularly impractical. Cresil refused to let go though. In fact, his embrace was almost too tight. She couldn't breath for a moment until he'd released her.

"What if I had kidnapped you?" he mused with the hypothetical question.

Ethuil replied nonchalantly, "Oh, well if it was you then I wouldn't have much trouble escaping."

She hit him in the face with her bag for pay back and left him to sneeze to his heart's content. I wonder if they have any course studies books I could use... she pondered.

The library was so immense that she had to actually ask for help finding books. Searching for one last book, she ran her fingers across the book's spines, scanning the titles as she did so. "Ah." She grabbed the book titled "Planet Studies: Past and Present". Cresil popped his head through the gap and shouted "DARLING! I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU EV--"

Ethuil shut her hand across his mouth. Unfortunately, this failed to subdue him. Cresil licked the palm of her hand and Ethuil snatched back her hand. "Can't you just be quiet for once?!" she hissed as quietly as her anger would let her.

Cresil's face twisted into a smirk. It was a satisfied smirk. Ethuil picked up her book and left before the demon boy saw her reddening face. She hated getting so worked up but it was nearly impossible with his reckless behavior.

She found a suitable table to sit at as she set her books down delicately. This location was not very well hidden, so it only took Cresil a few minutes to find her. With a solemn expression and tone, he asked if she was impressed.

"I'd be lying to say I wasn't," she admitted. "You fail to impress me with your obnoxious and disrespectful personality, though."

"Ahh, then we're even I suppose. You're as dull and emotionless as a robot. I can't say you aren't a bit interesting, though." Ethuil, caught off guard by the comment, looked up from her book.

"I mean, who else could be as foolish to risk their life coming out with me," he cackled under his breath. "You may be smart but you're no good at planning strategy. Your emotions are entertaining, too--when they actually come out."

Ethuil dismissed his comments but acknowledged him. "I'll keep those in mind for future reference then."

Cresil yawned. He looked bored so suddenly that Ethuil didn't understand how he didn't implode from all the bipolar changes in moods he had.

Cresil leaned over and pulled the pony-tail holder from the back of her head. His ashy grey hands sifted through her hair as if he were searching for something. She tried to become entranced by her book but his distraction wouldn't let her. Ethuil felt his warm fingers touch the back of her neck. Suddenly, her body jerked away.

The demon looked at his hand for a moment, then back at her neck. Crap.

His eyes widened as his grin did. "Don't tell me you have a weakness, dove?"

Ethuil defensively covered the back of her neck with her hand. Cresil took the opportunity to taunt her and closed her book, losing the page that she was on. He stood up and reached over the table when--SMACK!

Staggering backwards, Cresil felt his cheek, establishing the fact that Ethuil was using a more violent force to repress him. Ethuil placed her hand over her mouth, trying to hid a snicker. The mark where she had hit him turned a darker grey instead of what would be red for those with peachy skin. "Pfft. Now that was entertaining."

Cresil narrowed his eyes, a toothy grin on his face. This new discovery appealed to him. "Well aren't you a bit of a sadist, harlot?"

Head resting on her hands, Ethuil returned the icy comment with a sly grin of her own. "Only because you make it so easy, demon."

The passing librarian gave the two a warning stare as she sternly said "Shh!" Ethuil could help laugh a little when Cresil rolled his eyes.
Edit: Welp, it's four o'clock in the morning. I don't need sleep. At least I finished. Sort of.

Well I hope their date was entertaining, nothing too exciting happened unless anyone wants me to finish this off with a continuation or something. Maybe have them run into Chancey on the way back. Idk. Adios me amigos!
